Introducing your cottage
Apple sits in a peaceful location overlooking the old orchard brimming with wild flowers. The cottage has two storeys, with the living area upstairs to make the most of the stunning views and patio doors to a balcony to let the sunshine in and take you outdoors for alfresco dining.
The retro style interiors have a comfortable, cool, Scandi theme (think Ercol and G plan) with our hallmark zingy bright colours and funky accessories.
Apple and next door Pear are ideal for two families, an extended family gathering or a group of friends who want to holiday together but still have their own space. Both of them are close to the leafy lane which wanders down to Polgooth village with its handy village shop and superb pub.
The entrance porch to Apple is large with plenty of room for boots and coats, strollers and all the kit you take on holiday. The cottage is now powered by Air Source heating – a further commitment by us to green energy and keeping our business sustainable for the future.
Upstairs
Upstairs is an open plan, living/kitchen/dining area, designed for the whole family to relax in. It has a cool 70s inspired, locally made beech wood retro orange kitchen with a large Smeg retro styled fridge. The comfy sofa has views in every direction through the large windows. Downstairs
Downstairs are the two bedrooms. The master bedroom has its own balcony where you can enjoy a relaxing glass of wine or read after the children have gone to bed, watching the sunset and the rabbits playing in the orchard. The kingsize bed is Ercol, strewn with bright cushions. Retro oak furniture completes the vintage feel. This bedroom has its own funky ensuite with shower.
The second bedroom is a twin with ample room for a cot even if both twin beds are occupied. It is bright and cheerful with a view over the orchard. The spacious family bathroom is ultra-chic with its black and white tiles and bright yellow accessories.
There is a bath with shower over, basin and wc with a large under-stairs cupboard for storage.
