Enter our new Bosinver Wild wildlife-themed photo competition to be in with a chance of winning money off a stay!

We were delighted to have recently been able to present a cheque for several hundred pounds to our local Cornwall Wildlife Trust – the total of all the voluntary donations we received from our lovely guests when booking online. We would just like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to support this wonderful charity, whose work for wildlife is very close to our hearts.

We continue to celebrate wildlife this year with the theme of our 2021 photo competition ‘Bosinver Wild’.ย ย We love to encourage guests to explore and photograph the nature they encounter both during and after your stay, so we have several nature-based categories for entries:

Wild spaces I love – do you have a secret spot for wildlife spotting? Which wild spaces mean a lot to you? It could be your back garden or the sweeping landscape of the South West Coast path, anywhere that the wild things are…

Rocking around the rockpools – seashore searching is always such fun on a family holiday, show us what your little rockpool explorers have found or the excitement on their faces as they go crabbing or looking for other seashore creatures.

Plants and pollinators – our new pollinator garden has been a big hit with the bugs and the bees! Have you been inspired to plant your own nectar rich border or leave a patch of the garden wild for insects to enjoy? We love to see our busy buzzy friends making use of the plants we have put in especially for them. Have you spotted any bees, butterflies, moths or hoverflies?

What I’ve done for nature – there are so many actions you can take to give nature a helping hand.ย  For inspiration here are some great suggestions from the Wildlife Trust. Perhaps you have dug a pond, built a bug mansion or made a hedgehog home? Lets see what you’ve been up to and the creatures that have benefitted. Or perhaps like Nanny Pat you have been out beach cleaning, preventing litter from entering the sea and harming marine wildlife?

Beautiful Bosinver – we know our guests often love Bosinver almost as much as we do! Have you managed to capture the magic of our meadows, woodland or lake, the swallows that nest in our barn, the birds on our feeders or the kingfisher on our lake? Show us your best snaps of our beautiful environment and the wildlife that shares it with us.

Please note whilst we love to see photos you have taken during your holiday here, this year the pictures you enter don’t all have to have been taken at Bosinver – in fact especially for the “What I’ve done for nature” category we want to see what you have done at home or school, particularly if you have been inspired by what we do here.
