There’s no better place to be than Bosinver

Our larger holiday homes Laburnum (sleeps 8), Jack’s Barn (sleeps 8), the Farmhouse (sleeps 12) and our eco-cottage Lowen (sleeps 8) have all have extremely spacious, open plan living/dining areas which are ideal for getting everyone together for meals – or a party!

And all our cottages are just a short walk from one another, so if you’ve got a bigger group, you can simply book two (or more) to suit. And we’ve also got baby listening monitors available so you can put the children to bed and still keep an eye (or an ear) on them.

The layout of the cottages on our 30 acre site is much like a small hamlet – with enough space between them for the cottages to feel private and uncrowded, yet just a stroll from any of our facilities such as the swimming pool. People often comment on how peaceful Bosinver is with its setting of landscaped gardens and wildflower meadows – it’s part of the Bosinver magic…

Celebrations and special occasions

If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary let us help make your special occasion even more memorable. If you order your decorations and party kit to arrive before you do we are happy to pop them in your cottage for you. Here are some ideas and suppliers to get you started for the big celebration surprise!

Helium balloons and pre-strung banners from a website such as Bubblegum Balloons or Party Decorations (sorry we are unable to blow up individual balloons for you).

Reconnect on a three generation stay at Bosinver

Holidays with grandparents can be a great opportunity for all the family to reconnect, particularly if you don’t live close to one another or get the chance to spend time together often.

Whether you decide to book one large cottage, or spread out with two or more smaller cottages, there’s plenty of room to be together as well as space to do your own thing. The children will be well entertained with all our on site activities and facilities – animal feeding, our zip wire and games room are great fun whatever you age, but if you fancy taking some quality grown-up time out we have baby sitters on hand and some lovely places nearby to visit – including the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.

Catering made easy

If you fancy eating out rather than cooking we have many recommendations for great restaurants, cafes and pubs to suit the whole family. Our local, the Polgooth Inn, is less than 15 mins’ walk away from Bosinver (or a short drive) and it’s both child and dog friendly. The beer garden’s great in the summer, while in the colder months you can cosy up by the fire. Bliss!

They’ve got an extensive menu and have won awards for their food. In fact the landlords Alex and Tanya Williams scooped a national award in 2018 as Licensee of the year! Have a look at their video below.

The other gem in our local village, the Polgooth Village Store, bakes fresh bread, croissants, etc every day and will happily deliver a food order or newspaper to your cottage. Order online or call Sam or Mark Butcher on 01726 73816. For a taste of Cornwall you can also order their ‘Proper Cornish’ pasties in the morning for pickup at lunchtime!

Weekend escapes and short breaks

If you only have time for a weekend away with your family then you can book a short break of three nights or more in any of our available cottages between September and June (school holiday periods excepted, with stays starting any day of the week except Sunday) – but believe us you’ll love Bosinver so much you wish you’d stayed for longer!
