Toddler and baby friendly holidays in September

Cornwall breathes a sigh of relief in September. The older children go back to school and the county is less crowded. The A30 is a breeze with fewer people flocking to the county, itโ€™s easier to book a table at the most popular restaurants and the dog restrictions lift on most of our beaches, so no one needs to be left behind!

The time you get with your little ones to get away without being restricted by school holidays is short lived. We know firsthand just how important it is to treasure this time with your pre-schoolers, making memories and experiencing special first holiday moments together as a family.

Multi generational family dining together

September gives you the opportunity to discover popular attractions without the queues and with plenty of space to let little legs explore to their hearts content. The Eden Project has just unveiled an impressive new natural outdoor play area that encourages imagination and sensory play โ€“ water play is a key feature so be sure to pack a spare set of clothes! From our family experience we would also highly recommend taking your toddler to the award winning Lappa Valley Railway for a fun filled day of train rides, outdoor and indoor play. It never disappointsโ€ฆโ€ฆ

Bosinver is of course bursting with hidden adventures around every corner so if you donโ€™t fancy going anywhere you donโ€™t have to! If your toddler can sit unaided then they can experience their first pony ride, they can splash in the pool with private baby swimming sessions, search for the Gruffalo on our woodland trail and if the Cornish weather is not on your side, retreat to the indoor soft play barn.

September is secretly one of the best times to visit Cornwall with temperatures typically averaging over 20โ„ƒ and the sea is at its warmest โ€“ perfect for tiny toes to paddle in.
If that wasnโ€™t enough to tempt you, September sunsets are simply spectacular. Spend the evening on the beach with a picnic, build sandcastles and watch the sun go down as the kids fall asleep after their dose of fresh air โ€“ who said holidays with toddlers couldnโ€™t be relaxing?
