At Bosinver, we’ve got all you need to make your holiday with your little one the best ever.
We pride ourselves on being amongst the best baby and toddler friendly cottages in Cornwall. Our farm cottages come equipped with a raft of high quality nursery equipment including cots, highchairs and fire guards, plus everything from a children’s toy box and DVDs to night lights, children’s crockery and cutlery, a Delia Smith blender, hop ups and plug covers.
In short, all those little things that keep your children safe, and make life simple.
We’ve also got stair gates, booster seats, baby monitors, bed guards, blackout blinds, strollers, baby carriers and baby baths you can borrow – so just let us know what you need.
We know space is an issue when you’re packing to come away on holiday, so we’ve also got lots stuff for the beach – including windbreaks, buckets and spades, bodyboards, fishing nets and balls you can borrow.
And we’ve also got a range of different sized wellies, so if you don’t have your own or you forget yours, we should be able to find you some to fit.
Fun on the farm
There’s lots to do with toddlers at here – so you don’t have to go out too often if you don’t want to. In fact, many of our previous guests have said they have trouble coaxing their children out for the day.
Things your toddlers will love at Bosinver:
1. Egg collecting and animal feeding with Farmer Dave
What could be better for breakfast than a lovely, fresh egg laid by one of our chickens? You can join Farmer Dave every morning and help him collect eggs and feed our friendly chickens, ducks, goats and sheep.
2. Pony rides
Our resident ponies – Secret, Rupert and Dancer offer rides – perfect for any little ones who want to grow up to be Woody from Toy Story!
3. The play barn
Very popular with kids, and is ideal for when the weather’s not so good, or your little ones need to burn off some energy before bedtime. And parents love it too – while your kids are playing, we’ve got comfy sofas for you to sink into relax…
4. Swimming
Our solar heated pool outdoor pool is great for a dip with the little ones. When it’s colder, there are several good swimming pools we can recommend that are only a short drive away.
5. Discovering our playground
We’ve got lots of great outdoor play equipment ideal for imaginative play.
6. Exploring the woods
Hunt the hidden animals or seek out the Gruffalo in our woods, or enjoy games followed by toasted marshmallows around the fire at one of our Wild Kids sessions.
When you do fancy exploring further afield, we’ve got a host of child-friendly attractions on our doorstep. From Kidzworld soft play centre in St Austell (good for rainy days) to the ever popular DairyLand and Paradise Park (wildlife sanctuary and indoor soft play), there are some fantastic places to visit nearby. Just tell us what kind of thing you’re looking for and we’ll point you in the right direction.
And if you want a night out without the kids in tow, we’ve got an experienced local babysitter on hand.
PS: If you’re not tied to the school holidays, avoid the crowds and come out of season. We’ve got a range of cottages sleeping 3 – 12 (plus cots), so why not come with friends, or bring the grandparents along too? Spring and autumn are often lovely in Corwall. Not only is it cheaper, but everywhere is so much quieter – you might even discover your own ‘private beach’!
