We’re all going on a Wellie Hunt

One of the things we love best is letting our imagination run wild and creating as many fun activities for kids and their families to enjoy while they’re here (particularly for those of you who come every year!).

Pat’s latest idea is a variation on a treasure hunt theme – the Wellie Hunt. While Easter egg hunts are great, you can only do them at a certain time of the year. Not so with our Wellie Hunt!

With the help of the lovely Ann and Dawn (thank you!) we’ve hidden a number of wellies around Bosinver for kids to find.

Big kids can head off on their own, while little ones will love taking up the challenge with mum and dad (or grandma and grandad!) Pop into the office and pick up a Wellie Hunt map which will give you a clues about the where to start looking for the wellies.

Keep your eyes peeled in the fields, seek them out by the lake and spot them in the woods… the wellies could be hidden anywhere!

And if that’s not enough, there’s an extra challenge to puzzle over once you’ve found them all. Each wooden welly has got a letter on. Once you’ve tracked them all down, you’ll need to re-arrange the letters to make a word. When you’ve finished, pop in to Reception and we’ll give you a special prize if you’ve got it right.

On your marks, get set, go! Let the great Wellie Hunt begin!

P.S: you don’t have to be wearing wellies to do the Hunt, but there are some muddy bits!

You don’t have to do it all at once, either. If little legs get tired, or you’re heading out for the day, you can carry on whenever you feel like it.
