50 things to do before you’re 11 3/4

We love playing outdoors and getting up close and personal with nature.

That’s why we’re thrilled that the National Trust’s 50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾ campaign has become so popular with kids and parents all over the country (if you haven’t heard about it yet, check out the video to find out what it’s all about). Basically, it’s all about encouraging children to make the most of the great outdoors.

Kids (with the help of Mum and Dad for the little ones) can sign up on the 50 Things website where they can interact with their own virtual Outdoors Explorer. It’s full of ideas for things to do, like stone skimming, tree climbing and hunting for bugs. Children can keep track of the ’50 Things adventures’ they’ve completed, get activity tips, play games, earn badges and even get secret rewards.

And holidays in Cornwall are the perfect time to get outdoors and try something new. With beaches, woods and moorland to be explored, there’s plenty of scope for fun in the fresh air.

One of the things that so many of our guests say is that they love the fact that there’s so much to do right here at Bosinver. So we’ve had a look at the ’50 Things’ list to see what you can do when you step outside your cottage:

What else would you add to the list?
