Many of our Bosinver guests tell us that they found so much to do on the farm that they were happy to relax and unwind pottering about and making the most of the activities and equipment we provide.
Our stays include daily animal feeding, a toasty swimming pool, soft play, farm trails and gym to name a few but did you know your little ones could have a swimming lesson, that you could have a private chef cook for you, that you can relax and unwind with a massage or that we have babysitters available so that you can have some time together whilst you are here?…..
Our website has lots of information about the cottages and your stay and we do know that some of the extra activities you can do when you stay with us can be hidden on unseen pages so we thought a blog might be a good way to make sure you make the most of your stay with us!
All the kit you need
No-one likes packing! We have most of the baby and toddler kit you might need. From bed guards to nightlights, strollers to back-pack carriers we have everything you need to keep space in the car, one less thing to think about! You add these to your booking or get in touch and we’ll make sure they are in the cottage for when you arrive. You can see the list here
Food to your door
Hannah from Cornwall Private Chef can prepare and deliver Frozen Ready meals to your cottage or for the ultimate treat book Hannah and her team cook up a gourmet meal for you in your cottage.
We have partnered with or our local suppliers to provide you scrummy local produce and you can order a delivery from Cornish Food Box or veg bags from People and Gardens. Our local village shop, the Polgooth Stores and most of the major supermarkets will also deliver to us.
Swimming luxury
Have exclusive use of our lovely indoor heated pool. Hour long slots can be booked 3 weeks before arrival and the instructions and calendar are sent to you in our pre-arrival email.
Book a swimming lesson with Dawn our incredible private swimming teacher for the little ones or even you if you’d like to increase your confidence.
Relax with a massage or beauty treatment
You can choose treatments in our therapy room alongside the gym or in your cottage. Just contact our recommended therapists, Sharon or Sarah to book your appointment.
Pony rides
Children can sign up on arrival for a pony ride during your stay – this will be on a lead rein in family groups. We can recommend riding schools for older children.
Animal feeding
This takes place every morning and is often the highlight of the holiday for the children. Hand feed our chickens and ducks, goats, pigs and calves and be entertained by the ever cheerful Farmer Dave.
Baby sitting
We have a list of qualified baby sitters who give parents a few hours off duty. Whether you want to go for a coastal walk, a romantic dinner, or to see the latest Bond film, you can rely on them to watch over your little ones.
Bosinver trails
There are 3 trails around the farm – Hunt the Hidden Animals, The Wellie Trail and the Bosinver Habitat trail, all of these are printed out for you to follow and solve clues or learn useful stuff. There are prizes for completion and often children take the finished trails back to school to talk about at their ‘Show and Tell’ sessions.
