Are we nearly there yet?
Actually, you are.
Imagine a place that feels like it’s miles away from anywhere, but is only a hop, skip and a jump away from home (if you live in Cornwall or Devon).
Welcome to Bosinver.
Take the hassle out of your holiday
Long distance travel with small children can be a nightmare. From dealing with travel sickness to boredom and the huge amount of stuff you need to take with you, the stress levels rise before you’ve even left home. Hanging around in airports and the inevitable delays are bad news with kids.
But what if you could avoid all that?
Getting away from it all doesn’t have to mean hours spent travelling. In fact, not having travel far from home means you can enjoy a really relaxing break.
Short breaks are becoming increasingly popular, with many people choosing to holiday in the UK rather than go abroad. And a holiday on your doorstep is the perfect way to make the most of your time together. Adding on an extra day or two could give you a 4-day break. It’s long enough to unwind and have fun, but without using up too much precious leave.
Staying local also cuts the cost of travelling. It’s kinder to the planet, and it’s a great way to try a car-free holiday.
Not only that, you can relax knowing that we’ve got everything you need for the perfect break with young children – from sterilisers to spare wellies and beach equipment.
A celebration of the local
We believe in making the most of what’s on our doorstep – from great walks, beaches and family friendly days out, to enjoying the best local produce.
Cornwall is well known as a foodie destinations, so it’s also a great change to visit a special restaurant or pub you’ve been longing to go to, like Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall or Rick Stein’s.
Cornwall has such a varied landscape, and one place can feel very different to another, even if it’s just down the road. Learning new things about your home patch can be so much fun, and Cornwall has plenty waiting to be discovered.
Step back into the past and explore some of the county’s ancient sites or historic buildings, try your hand at surfing, canoeing or coasteering, or enjoy a unique outdoor theatre performance with your family… The choice is yours!

Check availability and start planning your break
We took our 2 and 3 year old away to Bosinver for a mid week break after a busy week at work. It was the first time we had been there and it did not disappoint. With it being only 45 minutes away from where we live it is easy to get to. Our cottage was simply stunning! Imagine a thatched, chocolate box style cottage – well this is it! Parking was right outside and inside it was to the very highest standard and every detail was thought about – equipment too!
Outside was fantastic. We had a play area right outside the door with a tractor and trailer slide, a wooden combine with tunnels etc, a trampoline, a two storey wendy house and swings. There are lots of local thing to do and lots of good eating places nearby. I would highly recommend a stay here and we will be returning in the new year.
