This summer, many of the companies are finally able to step back into the spotlight again to offer some wonderful open air performances in spectacular locations. Miracle Theatre has been producing wonderfully inventive outdoor theatre for over 35 years. This summer, they’re touring Cornwall with Starcrazy. Set in October 1957 when Russia has launched Sputnik 1, UFOs are cropping up everywhere, MI5 is on high alert and Stanley is building something in his garden shed…Pack a picnic and sit under the stars to enjoy this cosmic comedy about obsession and the rekindling of love, hope and possibility.

Rogue Theatre’s Wild Moon Forest Days and Nights

Sterts (various shows and dates)
Located on Bodmin Moor, Sterts is a unique tented amphitheatre which seats up to 400 people. With a range of in-house shows and performances by visiting theatre companies, plus comedy, music, poetry and dance, there’s plenty to choose from. Check out their schedule of theatre for summer 2021

The Minack Theatre (various shows & dates)
A visit to the Minack Theatre is an unforgettable experience. Hewn out of granite and overlooking the sea, this is one place where the view might just rival the action on stage – especially if there are dolphins in the bay.
There’s a wide variety of performances on in August and September, including children’s shows during the day. Make the most out of your trip to by combining a visit to Minack with an afternoon on Porthcurno beach, a walk along the coast path or a visit to the award-winning Porthcurno Museum of Global Communications.

While some shows sell out early, it’s sometimes possible to pick up returned tickets at the last minute. For some performances you may be able to buy tickets on the door. We recommend checking with the box office or online before you make any plans.
Top tip: It can get cold as the sun goes down, especially in exposed venues such as the Minack. Go prepared and take extra layers or blankets to snuggle up under.
