You’ve booked your family holiday to Bosinver and now it’s time to plan what to bring with you. With the unpredictable British weather, it pays to be prepared for all eventualities! We’ve partnered with Muddy Puddles, specialists in children’s outerwear and UV swimwear. Their mission is to connect growing explorers with nature by designing excellent quality, sustainable clothing that protects them in all weathers and is kind to the planet and the people who make them.

A holiday at Bosinver Farm is a chance to play, explore and relax together as a family while making some special memories. Here’s some suggestions for your packing list to make your holiday even more enjoyable.

Outerwear for all weathers

Even the sunniest day can end up with rain! In preparation for the changeable Cornish weather, make sure to pack a set of trusty waterproofs to bring with you and plenty of layers. A waterproof jacket and trousers or a puddle suit plus a pair of wellies is ideal for jumping in puddles, exploring the surrounding countryside and stomping around the farm. If you forget to pack any outerwear, then then don’t panic, we’ve got puddle suits and wellies in almost every size for you to borrow during your stay.

As well as packing plenty of sun cream for your Cornish holiday during the warmer months, don’t forget good quality UV protective swimwear for your little swimmers. Look for items with longer sleeves and high necks for better protection like a surf suit or a rash vest and swim shorts which are great for beach days. A good sunhat and sunglasses are also a must to keep children protected from the sun’s harmful rays.

Fun activities

There’s plenty on offer to keep the whole family entertained at Bosinver and lots to explore in the surrounding area too. Don’t forget buckets and spades for a visit to the nearby beaches and you may like to bring some games such as a bat and ball for rounders or a kite to fly with your little ones. The beach shed next to reception has a selection of beach items that we have collected over the years just help yourselves to whatever you need and remember to return them when you’ve finished.

Weather-proof accessories

Depending on what time of year you are visiting Bosinver, hands get cold very quickly and are particularly sensitive so gloves or mittens are essential to pop in your suitcase. They’re especially handy to keep little hands warm on pony rides around the farm. If the weather is chilly, a warm hat is also essential as most heat is lost through our heads – perfect for those days with lots of outdoor activities planned.
