2. Our local indoor kid’s adventure play centre, Kidzworld is a perfect local wet weather activity for the kids! It has a huge soft play area which is a toddler paradise, and there’s plenty on offer for older children too, with floor-level trampolines, slides, a roller-skating rink, indoor sand pit with sit on diggers, massive Pacman game and a soft ball cannon firing area! The area is well staffed to ensure that all children get their allotted times on the trampolines and roller-skates. 3. The Blue Reef Aquarium is situated in Newquay, on Towan Beach (one of Newquay’s seven glorious beaches). The aquarium is brilliant; there’s more than 40 displays of the sights, sounds and smells of the sea, the exhibits are well presented in natural settings and all the creatures look very healthy. The regular feeding displays, rock-pool workshops and informative talks provide a fun and fascinating day out. The day pass enables you to go around the aquarium as many times as you like and you can leave and come back. This is perfect if you want to dodge the rain showers and explore the seaside or town. Why not take a short walk at lunch time into the town, grab a Cornish pasty for lunch, head back to Towan Beach to check out the rock pools and then back to the aquarium for the afternoon! 4. If you fancy a fun activity to do with your children, Tide Climbing Centre is a family-friendly, state-of-the-art climbing centre in north Cornwall, a 30 minute drive from Bosinver. They cater for all sorts of climbing and bouldering for all levels. There are sessions for all ages, starting from age 2yrs – 4yrs (Tide Tots), 4yrs-7yrs (Ripples Kids Club) and 13yrs – 18yrs (The Social Club). It’s a super fun wet weather activity which starts with nerves and ends with excitement. All the staff are really friendly and make it really enjoyable for the kids. - Paradise Park is a wildlife sanctuary with Jungle Barn indoor play centre situated in Hayle, a 50 minute drive from Bosinver. There’s so much to see from amazing flying bird shows (just above your head) to feeding cute little parakeets pots of nectar from your hand! You’ll see stunningly colourful parrots, Humboldt’s penguins, Caribbean flamingos, Red-billed Cornish choughs, Bald eagles, Kookaburras, Hornbills and so many more. With over 1,200 birds plus, beautiful red pandas, rare red squirrels, cute otters and tiny harvest mice, there is a wonderful selection to see.
