Chapel Rock tidal sea pool, Perranporth.
Chapel Rock is situated in a massive rock, right in the middle of Perranporth beach. You’ll see a flagpole on the top that proudly flies various flags including the St. Piran’s flag of Cornwall, the Union Jack and the Ukrainian flag. The pool fills up on every high tide and then warms up throughout the day. Perranporth beach is hugely popular with families and wild swimmers looking to brave the cold winter to take a plunge! The pool is relatively shallow but if your little one is wanting to play in the shallows, there are a few decent sized rock pools surrounding the pool.
Jubilee Pool, Penzance.
The Jubilee pool is situated on the promenade of Penzance, fills on a high tide allowing you to enjoy cold water swimming in a sheltered, lifeguarded pool. The temperature usually sits a couple of degrees warmer than the surrounding seawater. The children’s pool is also saltwater, has a depth of 0.6m and is not heated (except by the sun)!

Trevone natural sea pool.
Trevone sea pool also known as Trevone mermaid pool, is a hidden gem, situated to the left of the beach a short 3 minute walk along the coastal path. The pool is suitable for small children, as the path leading to it is buggy-friendly and the pool closest to the path is shallow, making the perfect paddling pool. The pool is visible once the tide recedes, showcasing a pristine pool with various species of seaweed and marine life, making it perfect for snorkelling, bathing, swimming and creating fun memories. There is a large carpark just beyond the beach and a beach bar and store, which serves amazing homemade pizzas, hosts sundowner sessions from local musicians and ice cold beers! check tide times here.
Treyarnon Bay Rock Pool.
Treyarnon Bay is home to one of the more accessible tidal pools in Cornwall, easy to find and close to the car park! Treyarnon tidal pool is a beautiful spot to relax and unwind, this area is popular with surfers and tourists relaxing on the beaches and enjoying family time. Being on the Atlantic side of Cornwall this spot if known to have rough seas so always check the tide times and sea conditions before heading here.
