Bosinver becomes a wonderland for toddlers when the older kids go back to school. The crowds are gone, the weather is still warm, and all dog restrictions have been lifted from the beaches. Toddlers can enjoy -exploring and interacting with our animals, such as hand-feeding our hens and ducks for the first time, hearing their first cock-a-doodle-doos, and bottle-feeding the lambs. They can also have their first pony rides with our friendly ponies Crystal and Ginger and see wild rabbits pottering around the fields. Bird feeders are available for your cottage garden so you can bird watch from the comfort of your sofa!
We have designed all our cottages to feel like a home away from home with no loss of luxury. When it comes to baby equipment, we’ve got you covered. We understand the importance of routine and the abundance of items you need! We provide everything from highchairs, stair gates, and bottle sterilizers to toy boxes, rain suits, strollers, and wellies, making your packing much simpler before your visit. Come on in and make a splash in our heated indoor pool, perfect for your little ones to have a great time! We offer daily open swimming sessions for all guests and every cottage has the chance to book the pool for private use for an hour a day. It’s a great option for your tiny tots to get comfortable in the water (we even offer private swimming tuition from our lovely teacher Dawn who caters from babies up to Grannies wanting to improve their technique!)
Our cottages are surrounded by 35 acres of wild meadows, landscaped gardens, and woodland for your little ones to explore. You can take a walk along the Gruffalo trail by the lake, and grab a copy of The Gruffalo book from reception to read to your child as you go. We have outdoor play equipment including an undercover sandpit, trampoline, Wendy House, swings, and more. Inside, our play barn has a big soft play area, lots of Melissa and Doug sustainable wooden toys, and a comfy sofa for parents. There’s plenty to do and lots of wildlife to see, hear, and smell, and many guests say that both they and their children have never slept so well!)
And to top it off, we’ve got the mums and dads covered too! We have a fantastic local pub, the Polgooth Inn ,just a 10 minute walk down the lane. If you want a date night, book one of our trusted babysitters. We also offer a selection of handmade frozen meals from SOS (Save Our Supper) available for purchase at the reception, in case you don’t feel like cooking. Additionally, we provide spa treatments from our amazing therapists, as well as access to a gym and tennis courts!
Many of our guests spend time relaxing here on the farm as there is so much to do and they can plan their days around nap and feed times but there are many safe sandy beaches and picturesque harbours in easy reach as well as toddler friendly attractions such as Lappa valley and Dairyland.
