The Gruffalo trail and The Bosinver Faraway Tree
Down by the lake, little storytellers can wander through the woods and hunt for clues that bring the characters to life. Grab a copy of The Gruffalo book from the reception to read whilst you wander around.
Bosinver’s has its very own Faraway Tree, inspired by the books by Enid Blyton, invites children to step into a world of imagination and wonder. Nestled in the woodland by the lake, the Faraway Tree is decorated with tiny doors, fairies, toadstools and woodland creatures.
Wild Kids Forest School
Situated in our top field above the soft play barn, Wild Kids Club gives children the freedom to build dens, make potions in the mud kitchen or grab a magnifying glass to see what bugs are hiding in the grass. Watch your littlies learn about how fires are made using fluffy clouds and fairy dust.
Whether it’s feeding our friendly goats, Pippa, Mary, Womble and Toffee or collecting freshly laid eggs for breakfast, even the shyest can find confidence through these magical moments. Watch your little ones face light up soaking up the view from a ride on one of our ponies.
Cosy cottages with storybook charm
After a full day of imaginative play, your cottage becomes part of the magic. Each cottage is individually designed with every family member in mind. One might have a balcony, two set of stairs, a secret garden gate handmade by Farmer Dave and others with charming countryside views where you can spot wild rabbits, squirrels and even deer.
Inside your cottage is a toy box, books and cosy corners for quiet time. Curl up with a hot chocolate and read a storybook, if you love the story, you can take the book home and keep the Bosinver magic alive!
Adventures beyond Bosinver but close by
Just a short drive from Bosinver, a real castle overlooking the sea. The gardens bloom with colour in the Spring and Summer and the beach is our favourite, making it a perfect day out for all the family.
NT Trelissick House & Gardens
Trelissick is a haven for imaginative children with winding woodland trails, secret garden paths, breath-taking views over the Fal Estuary and a beach to swim from. The grand house and tea rooms makes for an exciting discovery along with huge trees and mossy logs waiting to be used in a game of hide and seek.
